A physical file is basically just an SQL table. You're best to just use SQL
to do the insert.

For exceptions, you would/could see just the normal SQL exceptions that you
would see with any JDBC connection. Like any SQL insert there is no
guarantee that the statement will not be successful. If you're using
commitment control though, it shouldn't be an issue.
