We have live system with java calling rpg programs passing various parameters to that. We also have some validators having parameters set to *NoPass...
So you can use this option in D-spec to define no pass and then either pass it or not from java.
I don't know whether we can do like what you explained below in RPG.
I don't understand your second question, u want to find out the program and its full path using name?

Subject: program Call with java
Hello All,
Using the api toolbox for java we can call a iseries program with the ProgramCall Method. Perfect !
My question is : Sometimes the program need to receive parameters, and i need to pass this parameters to run the program correctly, but in the most time i dont know if the program need parameters or not and what kind or type of data they need. What is the way to check if a program need parameters or not and what datatype i need to pass.
i looking also for a way to find program and they full path in the iseries only using their name, there is any way to find them in the system ?
something like a search in the windows.
Regards !
