How to call function IDENTITY_VAL_LOCAL() when inserting data using JDBC driver

If i insert data in a table from RPG, and if the column is of type identity
i can do some thing like below to find out the latest number of the inserted
record, how can i do the same in JDBC driver

VALUES IDENTITY_VAL_LOCAL() INTO :IVAR;
