that's the most important thing for backup and recovery purposes.
Think of the outboard Tomcat Server as a Front-End Processor to the "i".
but first I want to try writing an interface with the BIRT API to see if
getting the BIRT viewer application out of the mix improves performance.
It seems to support a lot of functionality that I don't need. It does,
however run quite nicely on windows, so if I can't get a dramatic
improvement, that's probably what I'll end up doing.
