Hello All,
I've searched but did not find an answer to this question. What does an _
(underscore) prefix on a Java variable signify?

I've seen this in some examples and some code here that people have posted.
I'm just curious to know if it means something in general, or just a
preference of the programmer.

Probably kind of a silly question, but it's one of those things I keep
wondering about.
