Nope.

Is the code shown for the thread in the run() method?

The code I posted is a paraphrased version of the actual run() method. But the key parts are all there.

What happens in that method after the code that you've shown. Is
this the entire run() method or what?

After the last 'catch (InterruptedException e)', the code disconnects the AS400 object and ends.
