The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Please forgive the very ignorant question. I'm just learning the "i" and
we don't yet have one to "mess around" with. I currently work on a z/OS
system. There is a really nice package called JZOS to run Java programs
in batch on z/OS. How is this done on the "i". I am assuming that the
Java program is not Websphere or anything like that (not interactive via
Web or 5250). Perhaps something that just reads a file and does a report
of some sort (yes, RPG would be a better choice, but I'm just curious).
