Under Work with Threads, the Aux I/O is busy and increasing steadily but under Display Open File, the Relative Record and I/O Count are not changing.

The question remains, what can I do to make this process work faster?

The answer depends on the cause. I usually just peek at wrksyssts to get an idea of the system load.

Unless explicitly specified otherwise the jvm runs in *BASE (afair).
