I believe it is Apache/2.0.52. At least, that is the Version listed on the HTTP ADMIN page that shows all servers, at port 2001.
The wizard to create the server begins "Welcome to the Create New HTTP Server wizard. This wizard helps you set up and create a new HTTP server (powered by Apache).

It looks to me like this is not the WAS server, but as you know Simon, I often miss the obvious.

Which server? If you mean WAS then as far as I know you can't. There is a tight coupling between WAS and the JVM. You have to install the version of WAS that supports the particular JVM you require.
