Thanks for this. I've been googling java.endorsed.dirs and have found
some very interesting stuff.

Are others using this technique?

Terry,
I have found that using the -Djava.endorsed.dirs switch to be
extremely useful. I can put all my jars in the directory of my choice
and then I don't have to specify them on the classpath. I typically call
all my Java using JNI from RPG, so I have not tried it with the RUNJVA
but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Hi All

What's the best practice for organising Java apps?

When running a java on the AS400, I have to tell the JVM where my
class
is. So far I've figured out I can do that by either adding
/home/terry/MyProj to my classpath, or by specifying the classpath
myself during submission.

Neither of these options is particularly attractive as our list of
projects increases.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Terry
