Ashish, WDI (from IBM) has built in maps to most EDI standards, and can be used to transform from EDI to XML and vice-versa. The tool communicates via MQ. You place an EDI file in one queue, and receive an XML or ASCII file on another. It works with DB2, but I haven't tried to check if DB2/400 is supported. MQ works very well on the iSeries, either natively or by JMS. So, although you get a license of MQ and of DB2 bundled in WDI, it is possible to use MQ and maybe DB2 on your iSeries. WDI itself needs a windows server. Regards, Shalom Carmel ----------------------- www.hackingiseries.com
