Depends what kind of monitoring you are after. Is it system management kind
of monitoring (e.g. servlet activity, EJB activity, garbage collections,
memory utilisation) or performance monitoring/profiling (e.g. of JPROBE
type)?

Subject: WAS performance monitoring

I'm well aware that the V5R4 HTTP admin function gives us some very
affordable performance monitoring for WAS, etc. but was wondering what
experience people had to monitor WAS. Due to the TSM debacle I'm loathe
to spend money with Tivoli but their Composite Application Manager may
be the best choice.

Anyone actively using CAM for Websphere or something similar?

If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.
