When I reviewed the code that is what I thought. So, I went ahead and commented out the member override method and just let it run against the first member which has no data. Yes, it is a multi-member file and it was created using the CRTPF command using DDS. On the second pass it still had a lock, after the recordset and statements were closed, but before the program ended.

Database Group PTF level maybe?

Here is the entire code. You could probably use your own table references and see if you get the same result.

I just ran the code and the lock went away as soon as the result set was
closed, but I'm not using a multi-member file, so the override was just
done to the main member.

Could have something to do with the fact that you're overriding the
member and not deleting the override?

(BTW, it would be nice to have a "Post Code Snippet" link on the
midrange.com Home page. I'll be darned if I can find the
instructions on how to do it in the archives...)

I'll see what I can do about that.
