I was just reading about Xfire on javaworld.com this morning which aims to ease web service programming and keep it as simple as the .NET guys have it. http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-05-2006/jw-0501-xfire.html This could be the mechanism to do that XML communication. Note that if it is to be highly performant this may not be the direction for your need. I would like to invoke the object from a java pgm from AS/400. The java object will use an XML file for data transfer. How exactly can I do that...? Can I get any example snippet for this kind of scenario...? Shud I establish a TCP/IP connection to do it...? (even it is internet or intranet) In that case, what all the authorities shud I have to establish the connection.? Any pointers will be appreciated...
