1) "once" seems to imply that it was some time ago. MySQL is a very
different product today than it was several years ago. 

2) No matter what, MySQL doesn't even qualify as a toy when compared to
something like DB2/400. You can't even attempt to compare what MySQL did
w/a query against what DB2 would do with the same query.
