Yes. DB2 Information Integrator from IBM is a pretty cool middle.
However,  management is not likely to want to spend that kind of $$$.

Or if possible, try to setup the remote DB for direct SQL access.  This
would most likely require some middleware but it would seem that the
investment would pay for itself fairly quickly....
