Boolean to DB2?

Hello all again.
I have a DB2 Physical file that I need to assign Boolean variables.  Can I 
create a 1A field in the physical file to contain the value of the Boolean 
variable in my object in Java?  If so, what will the value of the 1A field 
be if true or false?
