Is the stack trace readily available when the Java class is instantiated from an RPG program? From what I've read it isn't and I'd have to create a new method to log the stack trace and then change some settings in order to view the entries. -----Original Message----- From: java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Clapham, Paul Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2005 3:11 PM To: Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 Subject: RE: MessagingException error That means "Something went wrong". It could be many things. The other information associated with the exception (description and stack trace) would provide more useful information. Such as the exact line of code where the exception was thrown. From your remark about "error code 101" it sounds like you have something that interferes with being able to see the stack trace, if that is so then I would recommend getting that turned off. You can look at the documentation for JavaMail here: http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/javadocs/ Regards PC2
