If you know the IP of the PC invoking the application, you should be
able to execute a RUNRMTCMD.

Well, kind of.  I'm specifically talking about writing a server PROGRAM
that runs on the PC you want your application to talk to.   Assuming
it's written in Java (this is the Java 400 list), that program would
create a ServerSocket object and listen for a connection.
