Here are a couple newsletter tips I wrote on this subject. http://www.iseriesnetwork.com/resources/clubtech/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowNe wsletterIssue&ID=19582 http://www.iseriesnetwork.com/resources/clubtech/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowNe wsletterIssue&ID=19700 They are both examples of how to call RPG from Java using SQL as the interface. So far this has been the best interface for call RPG from Java IMO (at least it is the cleanest). I would steer clear of PCML until they remove some of the rather silly limitations (max of 7 parms for service programs, no date or timestamp data types allowed, etc). You can always use the low-level API's in the java tool box to make calls also, but some of the same limitations listed above apply :-( HTH, Aaron Bartell -----Original Message----- From: java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dunk, Michael (Mike) Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2005 8:13 AM To: java400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Calling RPG and COBOL from Java on iSeries What's the best source for learning how to call RPG and COBOL by java programs on the iSeries?
