You need to install the Toolbox product as someone else mentioned and then 
include the toolbox jar in your classpath when you run the javac command, as 
another person mentioned. No reason you should have to compile on any other 
platform. You just need the right stuff in your classpath.

I am trying to compile a java program with JDBC connection. I get an error
message stating it cannot find com.ibm.as400.access.as400JDBC.....

Can some help me direct as to what the problem is. I looked in the
QIBM/ProdData/HTTP/Public/jt400/com/ibm/as400/access folder on the as400 and
there is nothing in this folder. I would appreciate any help I can get.
