If you don't want the elements sorted as Strings, don't use Strings. Use

Subject: Sorting a vector?

Is it possible to sort a vector so that my strings come out properly? ie.
2 10 should be 2, 10, not 10, 2?
5
12
2
are sorting as
12
2
5

Strings.
