Hi Luc,
I have written a utility to download a message file to IFS in a text format.
We use this for our multi-language message files.  I could send you the
code, if interested.  You might have to write your java extension to read
this file off of IFS and write a java resource file. Thanks, Sudha

is there an elegant way to transform / convert language dependent messages
(and constant text) 
from iSeries-messagefiles to java-locale files.
