Joe apologies if some words you felt as buzz words, but I didnt mean that way.

We use proxy stemmed from the problems we had with developing in
Intellij&debugging on the AS400,along with that we have need to run our classes
on Unix box and either communicate to the AS400 database or use the local Unix
database.i was told that the JT400 classes are extrinsically slow and as well
as intrisincally slow(Joe Im sorry if this sounds again like buzz words)..I
also heard running a query in intellij using jt400 will take very longer time.

The proxy allows to create own socket connection and by pass jt400 class and
use native jdbc driver.

Our business goal is we want to run the code anywhere outside 400 because of
non-dependency of the environment. Please let me know suggestions.

The proxy allows to configure our configuration class how we want to access
400 so when running locally we never use proxy and we use native jdbc
driver..We use files classes which allow to predefine flat files&attach methods
to retrieve data in standard way..Other ibjective of business is reusability
and standards etc so we r using files classes..
