RE: java.lang.ClassCastException

Do I understand correctly that method data.toObject will return a single 
object?  Doesn't (Object[]) cast data.toObject as an object array?  I'm really 
new to the language so maybe I'm just not understanding.

According to my copy of the documentation, that method returns an Object and
not an array of Objects.
