Hi again,

the only difference between your java code and my (working 
code) is the "package demo;" statement (the first statement 
in your code). Try removing the package statement. Compile 
and try running the class again.

I could also be that you are using jdk 1.2 without java 
group ptf's installed. You should install jdk 1.4 (jdk 1.4 
is on your os400 v5r2 cd's) and install the latest java 
group ptf.

I have OS400 V5R2 with the following group ptf's installed: 
(GO PTF,12,F11)

(ISERIES) 

I also use JDK 1.4 on the iSeries.

Magne, can you check on your iseries, I'm on V5R2.
