I have not used JAXM at all, but I have used WDSc wizards to consume and produce XML, and I can say that it makes it incredibly easy to get things done with XML and web services. Note that the jury is still out on performance (eRPG parsing small XML docs is pretty darn fast). For example, you can right click on an XSD (XML Schema) and select Generate Java Beans and it will create all of the methods needed to parse, serialize and modify and XML document.
