I'm trying to run jar -x /tmp/jdom1.0.zip in batch from Cmd line
by executing the following steps, but its not working.
first step - ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(classpath) VALUE('/tmp') Second step - SBMJOB CMD(STRQSH CMD('jar -x /tmp/jdom-1.0.zip'))
JOB(JDOM) When looked at the spool file the following message appeared and
examined the link /tmp which did not have any files extracted.

Your jar syntax appears to be incorrect ... it should be 'jar -xf /tmp/jdom-1.0.zip' ... the 'f' flag tells jar to extract the files from the specified archive.

Also, I don't think you'll find the files in the /tmp directory anyway ... jar extracts files to the current directory, not the directory contained in the classpath environment variable.

Since it's turkey day, I don't have ready access to an iSeries to verify this. I did, however, check on my PC's jar command.
