Record Level Classes or SQL Query classes

Hello everybody!

 

We are new to Java on As400 (not new to As400:-)) world and right now
designing an application which will use java on as400.

 

We have to decide whether we want to use Record Level Classes or SQL
Query classes to interact with AS400 physical/logical files. Since we
are new to this stuff, we not sure which is better than the other.

 

Any inputs from the group members, specially pros and cons of the above
2 approaches will be highly appreciated.
