Your Java method could do an exceptionTrace on the exception - you might get more information that way. By the way, starting in V5R3, you can get the exception trace for Java method calls from RPG by setting environment variable QIBM_RPG_JAVA_EXCP_TRACE to the value 'Y'. (This envvar doesn't have to be setup before the JVM is started, unlike the other Java-related RPG envvars.) It will only work for RPG programs compiled in V5R3.
