I have code which does trap this. It runs as part of a PC based installation program where we don't want to show the user any other windows besides our installer. I believe that what you need to do is wrap this code in a try/catch statement, and look for two exceptions. Either the AS400SecurityException or the java.IO.IOException will be thrown if the AS400 constructor or validateSignon has a problem. Then you can handle the signon yourself without IBM's very annoying pop-up. But you also need to check the return status from the validateSignon. I know you are returning this, but is this inside a boolean method? _________________________________________________________________ Jeff Furgal / MIMIX User Interface Product Architect / Lakeview Technology furgalj@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx / 630-282-8360
