The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Don't be too surprised about not finding much in the way of Open
Source
Java products. Java isn't as "free" as we'd like to think... another
topic for another time I suppose... anyway...
Yeah, I agree. The great "third party library" world of Java is not as
big as one might think.
this is real FUD. I can more or less agree on that there are not too
much java based open source >products< on the market (with products i
mean something like Mozilla, OpenOffice or OpenCMS), but when speaking
of libraries and developers tools, there is no language world wide with
only half of that amount java offers.
Just check sourceforge, freshmeat, apache, java.net and many other
resource sites on the net. Not too mention the projects not hosted on
these sites, just having an .org domain.
I recently programmed a function that checks for new files inside a
folder in the filesystem to do some processing on it. Something you need
every year or something, yesterday i found out that even this problem
was solved and made public many months ago (http://jpoller.sourceforge.net/)
