If you know the path of the file and your are using Personal Communications or iSeries Client Access (whatever it is called) you can issue the following commands:

strpco

STRPCCMD PCCMD('c:\temp\welcome.pdf')

Thanx, PLA

I wish to run the PDF reader located on the users PC's from the iSeries. The
problem is knowing the path the reader is located. I dont wish to hardcode
the path, since it can be different on each PC.

If I went to each pc, did a start/run and typed in AcroRd32.exe, it would
run. Is there a way I could utilitize the logic that windows start/run uses,
or a way to get a registered applications path.

Thanks.
