Hi Guys, i have a little problem ... I've a database where are stored data in CHAR 65535 column and it are some Hex characters. I set up on driver "translate binary"=true and it works. But the problem is that, that i need use this string as a key for searching another data in this or other table. I have this data in a String object and if i give it to byte[] array i could see that the hex string is the same as i see on iSeries. But if i use it in next sql statement as "SELECT * FROM HUHU WHERE C1 = " + the_string i doesn't work ?! What do i wrong, any idea ?

From what can be seen you are creating the SQL by hand. Don't do it. Let the JDBC driver do that for you (assuming you are in Java, since you posted this to a java mailing list)
So make the statement:
"SELECT * FROM HUHU WHERE C1= ?"
and then use PreparedStatement's setString method to make the driver change that, usinf ps.setString(1, the_string)

Hope it helps
