Part 1: When I run a command in qshell, that command runs in a behind-the-scenes batch job. Does it count as interactive or batch workload on my system? i.e. if my system has 1000 CPW and an interactive feature that allows 200 CPW for 5250, would a java compile in qshell (javac command) be able to use the entire 1000 CPW or only 200? (assume no other workload on system) Part 2: After that java program is compiled, I run it from qshell (java myclass). This starts a batch job containing the JVM and runs the program in that JVM. Like my first question, is this counted as batch or interactive workload? Thanks in advance. -Marty
