quesiont about JTOpen4.2

Hi, 
i was reading the changes in JTOpen 4.2 and came
across 2 very intresting 
1, Connection: Support EIM "identity tokens" for
authentication
2, Connection pools: Allow null password

has anybody developed some program using these
features, 
here are some questions about it
1 so if i can create AS400 connection using EIM, do i
need kerborose or not??
2 Can i get a connection from AS400ConnectionPool just
by passing a userid and no password?

any help will be appreicated
