I was afraid of that. Who would I need to contact regarding an os400
update and is it feasible for a 6 year old as400? I'm in Bham, AL.

   Your help is greatly appreciated.

Please help as I'm having troubles convincing the CEO that it is
worthwhile to keep using the as400. The system is v4r2 and I'm

 using

    the jt400 driver from jtopen.

JTOpen doesn't work back to V4R2. You can only use the LPP version of
the toolbox. The compatibility list of the toolbox can be found here:

P.S. Keeping the iSeries is a lot more worthwhile if you keep up to date
on OS/400. The last several releases of OS/400 have each added a ton of
functionality. The JVM is particular is much better with later
 releases.
