Hello,
I'm trying to create an iSeries LDAP based authentication to my
web-application running on Tomcat on the same machine. I have
configured the JNDI realm in my server.xml with the following way:
<Realm className="org.apache.catalina.realm.JNDIRealm"
debug="99"
connectionURL="ldap://genbra:389"
userPattern="cn={0},cn=users,o=gensk"
roleBase="cn=groups,o=gensk"
roleName="cn"
roleSearch="member({0})"
/>
I'm trying to connect and obtain a role of "callcenter" defined in the
directory. Here is an excrept of our directory structure
dn: o=GENSK
objectclass: top
objectclass: organization
o: GENSK
dn: cn=users,o=GENSK
objectclass: top
objectclass: container
cn: users
dn: cn=KIDS004,cn=users,o=GENSK
objectclass: top
objectclass: person
objectclass: organizationalPerson
objectclass: inetOrgPerson
objectclass: publisher
objectclass: ePerson
cn: KIDS004
sn: KIDS004
uid: KPGMIDS004
description: KPGMIDS004
mail: KIDS004?GENBRA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
publishername: dc=GENBRA,dc=GENERALI,dc=SK
dn: cn=groups,o=gensk
objectclass: container
objectclass: top
cn: groups
dn: cn=callcenter,cn=groups,o=gensk
description: Group for basic callcenter users
objectclass: top
objectclass: groupOfNames
cn: callcenter
member: cn=KIDS004,cn=users,o=gensk
member: cn=KIDS003,cn=users,o=gensk
dn: cn=callcenter2,cn=groups,o=gensk
objectclass: groupOfUniqueNames
objectclass: top
uniquemember: cn=KIDS004,cn=users,o=gensk
cn: callcenter2
I can see in the context log file the following
2003-12-09 10:42:01 JNDIRealm[]: getUserDN(null)
2003-12-09 10:42:17 JNDIRealm[]: getUserDN(KIDS004)
2003-12-09 10:42:19 JNDIRealm[]: getUserDN(KIDS004)
2003-12-09 10:42:20 JNDIRealm[]: getUserDN()
after 3 login attempts. I tried both the BASIC and the FORM
authentication. I'm not sure whether there is another way to test the
authetication, or get some detailed explanation of the things
happening inside this black box.
Thank you for your help
Best Regards
Balazs
