The com.ibm.as400.access.Job class has methods for doing what you want. Haven't tried this, but documentation can be found here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/rzahh/javadoc/com/ibm/as400/access/Job.html HTH Rune Kaus Sandeep Sakhawalkar <Sandeep.Sakhawalkar@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 26.11.2003 21:52 Please respond to Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 To: java400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx cc: Subject: Hold Release Cancel ACTIVE JOB I want to know if jobs in ACTIVE STATUS can be held / released / cancelled ? Below is a brief outline of what I want to do- AS400 sys = new AS400 ("mySystem", "myUserName", "mypassword"); CommandCall cmd = new CommandCall(sys); If (cmd.run("mycommand") == true) { Job myjob = cmd.getServerJob(); ... ... if (jobstatus.getStatus() == JOB_STATUS_ACTIVE) { HOLD THE JOB ... ... RELEASE THE JOB } } sys.disconnectService(); I came across methods in Job class where spoolfiles can be held / released. Any workaround, suggestions is highly appreciated.
