Thanks Martin, would you know if the commit and backout from the
MQQueueManger class can control updates to the database on the as400 as
well as the MQ messages e.g. I read messages from a queue under syncpoint,
write them to a file then issue a commit if all is okay, a backout if there
is an error, the commit/backout would apply to both the MQ messages/db
updates, from what I remember previously I had to do the db commit and
rollback via  a CL (this was about 4 years ago from C on the 400)

They are.  We have a Java app that uses MQSeries and does transactions
with it, and it works as well on the iSeries/AS/400 as anywhere else.

I'm surprised to hear that; I'm fairly sure that MQCOMMIT is supported
in all languages.
