Sorry. That was two solutions. Samba and servlet Deon -----Original Message----- From: Reid, Deon Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 1:03 PM To: java400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: IOException when run from AS/400 There is an open source/ freeware called samba (SMB). Download it and add to your classpath. Use this link: http://www.samba.org Write a servlet that takes object path and send file a part of a multipart object. This would sit on the PC network and a java program could process the URL and get the file from the multipart object. Just a thought, I haven't done this, but it should work. Thanks, Alex -----Original Message----- From: Alex Pinsky Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 11:48 AM To: Java AS/400 forum (E-mail) Subject: IOException when run from AS/400 Hi, I have a Java pgm that creates file in a remote location (using PC server path as //serverName/dirName/fileName). When I run this program from my PC - file is created and data is written into the file. After I move this pgm to AS/400 - I get java.io.IOException. I created entry in TCP/IP host table with the given server name IP address. Still no luck... Any help...
