Getting started with WebSphere

My primary job is only concerned with rpg and my company is not interested with 
new tecnologies, but I would like to start learning something with WebSphere - 
for my own at home - (platform Windows XP).
I've seen there there are many downloadables for trial, redbooks, articles but 
I'm a little confused.
Does someone can give me a suggestion on where I can start start from ?
