We had this problem as well with some data that is maintained by legacy means (non-sql) on our iSeries. The problem is that when trying to read those rows, and TimeStampException (or something like that) is occurring. My guess is that your code is discarding the row if that happens. If you look at the DB2 reference for Date Values at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r1/ic2924/info/db2/rbafzmstch2datetime.htm there is a sentance under the "Date" section that I think explains the problem. "The date formats *JUL, *MDY, *DMY, and *YMD can only represent dates in the range 1940 through 2039." What we realized was that the developer would set values of 0001-01-01 when they didn't want to store any date. They did this because they didn't want to have to deal with NULL maps in thier COBOL or RPG code. So we ended up changing these to a real NULL value, and changing the legacy code to check for NULLS. The funny thing was that the code to check for NULLs in the legacy code was basically the same as the code they had in there for checking for 0001-01-01 values. :) Hope this helps! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris DeLashmutt Senior R&D Analyst LeasePlan USA 1165 Sanctuary Pkwy., Alpharetta, GA 30004 Phone: 678-202-8695 Fax: 678-566-8551 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "Bartell, Aaron L. When I run a JDBC SQL statement against this I don't get the same amount of records when I do the SQL from a green screen. I get 2 records in the resultset from the Java program and 15 (the correct amount) when I do it from the green screen. When I change the date fields to have a more current date like 2003-07-07 it works just fine from the Java program. Anybody clue me in as to what is happening?
