Can you clarify for me, you say it runs in the QSH env. but won't  if 
you run it where, as a script?

I have a similar problem application, it runs fine on several V5R1M0 
machines, but not on another V5R1M0 machine.  If I run the script 
commands individually in QSH, and then the Java application command on 
the problem machine, it works fine.  But, if I run it as a .sh file, 
somewhere, the java ends, then the script ends...  I cannot yet find the 
problem.
