yes, you can do it but you'll probably need to use an API. We have a temp directory that the apps can populate and then we expect them to delete their stuff outta there.... Can code the file by job number to avoid conflicts. In Linux, you can do a rm -Rf folder to clear all the files in the directory and delete the folder. You might be able to do that in qshell... I haven't tried it but that may be another way to go.... I went with the API solution. I have an RPGLE program we call whenever we need it done... dan -----Original Message----- From: fkany@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fkany@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2003 11:07 AM To: CN=Java Programming on and around the iSeries/O=AS400 Subject: RE: Java Mail was (RE: Extension too long in file name?) >> We use the itext jar to convert splf to pdf. Works really, really, well... Sounds like I'm going to have to place the spool file(in some format -> *.pdf,*.doc, etc...) in a folder. I'm going to be having multiple users sending these emails with attachments throughout the day. I'd like for each user to have there own folder where they'll place the file attachements. Is there a way to automatically clear the folder before they try to send the next email? Something similar to CLRPFM to clear a phyisical file but I want it to clear an IFS folder.
