Hi Mihael,
You use AS/400 'native' JDBC driver to get connection to your database. In this
case userid and password is not required.
String driver = "com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver";
String url = "jdbc:db2:youras400name";
Class.forName(driver);
// Establish network connection to database
Connection connection = (Connection)DriverManager.getConnection(url);

i wanna execute an sql query on our iSeries. no problem with that. but
how do i code the stuff, if the programm is executed directly on our
iSeries and not on a pc without putting a username and a password into
the sourcecode (without using record level access).

thanx in advance.
