Java Dropdown Window from with RPG program

I would like to access a Java program that displays a dropdown window 
containing as/400 information. 

I would like to access this from an RPG program when the user requests field 
value information.

I would need the ability to pass parms to and from the Java program.

I am new to Java and was wondering if anyone had any source code example I 
could build upon.
