I agree with Dieter ONLY IF your application is JDBC-based. Of course, most people know that I don't believe in JDBC-based applications, but that's a different issue. If you're already using JDBC, then I suggest a stored procedure that does the submit. However, if you're using RLA (Record Level Access) or direct calls already, the call to a program that does a submit is the easiest and most straightforward wat. Joe
