Ashish,

You might want to do some profiling of your application
to see where the bottlenecks are. In one case I found
a simple class was causing 25% of our workload. This
code was working with a BigDecimal to accumulate totals.
In that case a double with some minor code changes
worked fine. It would have been very difficult to detect
this. I used Jprobe in that case but there are some
open source Eclipse plugins that might work OK.

Hi,
i have been developing web application using
sturts1.1B3 and JT400 3.1 version, AS400 is V5R1 and
windows 2000 server,
I run websphere 5.1 on windows 2000 server, all the
logic is in RPGLE and call these programs using PCML,
also i have all the data extraction logic in Store
procedures on AS400 ( SQL RPGLE)
I am using connection pooling for JDBC connection and
AS400 also,

Now i need to do some improvement in performance,
Anyone has done any study with improvement in
performance if i run websphere on AS400, I have a
decent AS400 machine,
also what are the other ways, of doing performance
improvment, like using different JDBC driver, or some
other ways,

Ashish
