problem in creating connection pool when the password is about toexpire

Hi,

I am developing a web application where i create
AS400JDBCConnectionPool for creating a connection pool
when starting the application, 
But when the password is about to expire for the User
id which i am using to create the connection pool, the
application hangs and does not start, actually it is
trying to throw a window asking the user to change the
password, but since i am starting the server remotely
i dont see this window..
So how do i supress this, what i want to do is stop
the change password window if the password is about to
expire and throw exception if password is expired
here is the code i am using to create the pool
  AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource dataSource = new
AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource(ip,userId,
password);
         dataSource.setDateFormat("iso");
         dataSource.setTimeFormat("hms");
         dataSource.setNaming("system");
         dataSource.setTranslateBinary (true);
         dataSource.setLibraries(libraryList);

AS400JDBCConnectionPool pool = new
AS400JDBCConnectionPool(dataSource);
         pool.fill(minConnection);
